PICNIC TOOL: EINSTEIN - AN EXPLOSION OF SOUND IN YOUR HEAD

 Ready for lift off - Elementary Records is proud to announce the release of Picnic Tool's debut EP, Einstein, on April 28. .

The EP includes four high energy, rocket fueled, slabs of pop song bacchanalia, including the net-punk  rocker "Einstein" and "Chinese Heart", as heard on LA's KROQ. These two tracks are joined with the pure pop of "I Love the Truth", and the shambolic beauty of " ... About Gurls". It’s all contained here in one spectacular looking CD package.

Based in Orange, CA, Picnic Tool is led by songwriter Bodie Plecas, a veteran of the Baton Rouge band the Spurts, and LA's Red Vines. He is also the sole permanent member of Picnic Tool. Goffrey Moore, who also plays bass, produced Einstein. Goff has played with Jonatha Brooke, Brian Blade, and Red Vines, among others, and recently produced the great new neo-soul single from Johnny P. On drums for Einstein is the thundering herd of one, Larry Aberman, a pro veteran who has appeared on records by the Vaughan Brother, Joe Sample and Ric Ocasek, among others. Blistering skins on " ... About Gurls"  are courtesy Joseph Moore, the groove master of Denmark.

Einstein bears the crisp sonic influences of the Beatles, Iggy, Cheap Trick, and the Velvet Underground. It sits comfortably within the confines of Power Pop, Alternative, Rock, Indie, Garage Rock, and at least two or three other buzz word combinations that you'll really like.

Picnic Tool prepares for its next phase - a  full length record, featuring all new songs, which is set to begin recording in Nashville during the summer of 2017, with Goffrey Moore once again producing.

"Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler,"  Albert Einstein is posthumously quoted as saying. "Picnic Tool got that thang down tight!" Al was a rocket scientist, so he knows. You should, too.
